LOVE OF MY LIFE is the title of Harry Sacksioni’s newest CD. The album contains fourteen tracks—eight solo pieces and six performed together with four other musicians—through which Harry delivers an impressive tribute to the instrument that has given him so much: the guitar. All compositions are written by him, with the exception of the iconic In the Mood. Harry proves that he is able to conjure this orchestral piece virtuously from a single guitar.
The musicians he invited for this album belong to the top of the Dutch music scene: Charles Nagtzaam on bass (among others Frank Boeijen), Maarten Molema on drums (among others Stones vs Beatles Battle), Sven Figee on Hammond organ (among others Matthijs Gaat Door), and Martin Verdonk on percussion (who plays with many major musicians).
All original compositions are new (with the exception of Wildfire / Lopend Vuur), and Harry has already occasionally played some of them during his solo performances over the past two seasons.
In the accompanying CD booklet, Harry writes about his motivation for each track and why he composed it. The booklet also lists which guitar he plays on each song.
The Dutch solo tour LOVE OF MY LIFE will take place from February through May 2026.
