It’s here: the newest CD by Harry Sacksioni, titled “Here Comes The Sun…!” In 2012, Harry previously released these recordings as part of a double-CD project. That edition sold out immediately and was never repressed—until today! The album consists exclusively of Beatles songs, arranged by Harry. This ode to the Beatles features sixteen tracks, including of course Here Comes The Sun and While My Guitar Gently Weeps, as well as unexpected Beatles gems such as Piggies, Girl, Drive My Car, Eleanor Rigby, and Julia.

Harry is voor het vijftiende achtereenvolgende jaar verkozen tot Akoestische gitarist van de Benelux! Net als vorige jaren kozen duizenden lezers van Gitarist de gitaristen van het jaar. Naast Harry viel ook Mark Bogert in de prijzen als ‘Metalgitarist Benelux’. Harry en Mark speelden dit jaar samen in de tournee The Story Tellers – Gitaarhelden! LOVE OF MY LIFE is the title of Harry Sacksioni’s newest CD. The album contains fourteen tracks—eight solo pieces and six performed together with four other musicians—through which Harry delivers an impressive tribute to the instrument that has given him so much: the guitar. All compositions are written by him, with the exception of the iconic In the Mood. Harry proves that he is able to conjure this orchestral piece virtuously from a single guitar. The musicians he invited for this album belong to the top of the Dutch music scene.

In augustus 2024 zal gitaarvirtuoos Harry Sacksioni een nieuw album opnemen genaamd LOVE OF MY LIFE, dat een ode is aan het instrument dat hem zoveel heeft gebracht: de gitaar. Daarop zullen o.a. de nummers ODE AAN JJ CALE, HET STOND OP INTERNET, CUBAN NIGHTS en CRUISE CONTROL staan. De verwachte releasedatum zal rond 1 oktober zijn. Vanaf februari t/m mei 2025 zal de gelijknamige tournee plaatsvinden in de Nederlandse theaters.

Vanaf deze plek wens ik iedereen een mooi, gezond en vooral liefdevol 2024! Voor mij persoonlijk heeft seizoen ‘24/‘25 veel bijzonders in petto. Allereerst: ik ga dit jaar een nieuwe CD uitbrengen, genaamd LOVE OF MY LIFE!!! (Ode aan de gitaar!). Release rond november 2024.

Korte impressie van de all-in fingerstyle gitaar clinic die afgelopen weekend plaatsvond in de Buitenhorst in Schaijk. De veertig deelnemers – weer geheel uitverkocht – beoordeelden deze editie met een 9.1!! Ook de keukenploeg, die al het eten en drinken verzorgde, werd rijkelijk beloond met complimenten.

As of today, Harry Sacksioni’s double live album Vijfenzestig is available to stream and download on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital music platforms! Vijfenzestig features the complete live anniversary concert with which Harry toured throughout the Netherlands for five months, together with his band—Digmon Roovers, Michel Pagie, and Marten Scheffer. Awards: Biography: Harry Sacksioni was born on October 23, 1950 in Amsterdam. He got his first guitar at the age of eleven and with that the guitarist in him was born. Only two years of guitar lessons laid the foundation for a long career as guitarist and composer. As a boy he was good at playing football and was accepted to the Ajax pupils at age eleven.
